Indiana Episcopal Dioceses Consider Reunification

In 2021 Bishop Jennifer Baskerville-Burrows and Bishop Doug Sparks, of the Diocese of Indianapolis and the Diocese of Northern Indiana, respectively, began conversations about potentially reunifying Indiana’s two Episcopal dioceses, initially separated in the late 19th century. In 2023 the Diocesan Reunification Discernment Committee formed with equal representation from both dioceses, and they started the work of discernment.
