Chorister’s Composition Premieres April 2

During the regularly scheduled Evensong on Wednesday, April 2, the choir will premiere “Bread of the World,” a new anthem composed by chorister Elijah Ahlgren.

Elijah Ahlgren, now 11 years old, started singing with the Cathedral’s 10 a.m. choir in 2020. As a Cathedral chorister for the last five years, Elijah has developed as a wonderful singer, and he also is learning to play the piano.

Elijah’s anthem also will be sung at the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, April 6. We can’t wait to see Elijah’s song come to life with the full choir! His parents couldn’t be prouder and neither could we.
