Christ Church Cathedral seeks a senior bilingual priest to serve as Cathedral Canon: a full partner in clergy leadership at the center of the city, and a pastor whose presence will deepen the unity of our bilingual, multicultural congregation.
The Cathedral Canon will serve as a partner with the Dean, the Canon Vicar and the whole Cathedral team, sharing in the strategic, liturgical, and pastoral direction of the Cathedral as a whole.
Our congregation has spoken with clarity about what they need and hope for. In January 2026, we gathered for Holy Conversations with members of our Ministerio Latino. In that space, our Latino leaders and families named their deepest aspirations for our congregation, aspirations that will shape and bless the whole community as this new leader serves among us all.
Our congregation has told us what they need: a pastor who will see them, stay with them, and work alongside them and their colleagues on the leadership team for the kind of church they believe Christ Church Cathedral can become. And they are asking for someone who can lead and manage with the same energy they bring to the hospital bedside and the altar.
This is not a role for someone who enjoys leading alone. Our new colleague will be part of a staff team that functions best when everyone is communicating early, sharing ownership, and bringing others along. We are not looking for perfection. We are looking for a priest who holds both the pastoral and the organizational with genuine competence and humility, who knows that faithful ministry and faithful administration are not in tension, and who understands that the way you run a meeting or manage a budget is itself a form of witness to the community you serve.
