Where a Melodious Journey Awaits
Christ Church Cathedral has a long and acclaimed history for its world-class music programs which operate under the leadership of Dr. Stephen White, Bruno Sandes and Melissa Chavez.
In support of the various music programs, the Cathedral has budgeted over $1.1 million in 2025 alone. While the majority of these funds will go toward current programs, $7,500 has been allocated to foster the next generation of musical talent as the Cathedral is set to host its much-anticipated Joyful Noise Music Camp later this summer. This vibrant camp promises an unforgettable experience for young musicians and aspiring artists, providing a rich blend of education, creativity, and fun. A Message From a Chorister
I have attended the Joyful Noise summer camp twice, and it has been a great experience. I have seen my friends from school, my friends from the choir, and, unsurprisingly, lots of people I don’t know there! I have seen lots of people who went there join the choir school shortly after.
In Joyful Noise, we learn music skills, art skills, and one year we even learned ukulele!
But learning isn’t the only thing that we do at Joyful Noise! Every day, we take a field trip! Some are music-related field trips like the symphony or the sound museum, and some are fun like the Zoo or the roller skating rink. It’s also FREE!

What Is Joyful Noise Music Camp?
Joyful Noise Music Camp is an immersive program designed for children and teens who have a passion for music. The camp’s mission is to nurture their talents, foster a love for musical expression, and create a supportive community where every participant can thrive. Through a series of engaging workshops, masterclasses, and performances, campers will have the opportunity to explore various facets of music, from vocal training to instrument playing.

- Diverse Musical Genres: A broad range of musical styles and genres will be explored, ensuring a well-rounded musical education. Music includes classical and contemporary works in both English and Spanish.

- Performance Opportunity: The camp culminates in a final performance, allowing participants to share their newfound talents with family, friends, and the community.

Who Can Attend?
The camp is open to kids entering grades 3 through 8 in the 2025-2026 school year, regardless of their musical background.
Registration and Dates
Joyful Noise Music Camp will run from July 14 to July 18. Registration is open, and because spaces are limited, early registration is recommended.
